Fascinator Care

Fascinators are very easy to care for, as long as you follow a few simple suggestions. It should remain in perfect condition for many years to come.

Always store your fascinator in the box provided when not in use as this keeps it clean and dry.  This will ensure it stays clean, prevents it from becoming dusty, faded and getting crushed.

Try to store it at room temperature and out of direct sunlight, this will help prevent it from becoming brittle or faded.

If adorned with flowers, feathers or beading, please don’t handle the adornments too much as they be be susceptible to either fraying or discoloration.  Although I try my best to prevent this from happening, this is inevitable over time due to the very nature of the product.

If you need to clean your fascinator, I recommend removing any dust or particles with a very soft makeup brush then gently use an unscented baby wipe to wipe off any make-up residue.

Depending on what your fascinator is made of, you may need to avoid the rain altogether.

Keep it dry.  If you do get caught in a rain shower, remove immediately and carefully blot dry with a dry towel.  Once at home, use a blow dryer on a very low setting to dry completely or you can also dry it in a hotpress cupboard.  Applying a damp sponge is NOT advisable as this can create permanent staining and cause mis-shaping of the fascinator and adornments.
